Officials investigate the scene where a Chevrolet Malibu collided with a train, Wednesday, March 5, 2014 on Hemmeter in Saginaw Township. A 63-year-old male was driving north on Hemmeter when he collided with the train at a crossing near the intersection of Hemmeter and McCarty at 9:02 a.m., according to Sgt. John Sadowski of Saginaw Township Police. The man suffered minor injuries.


Ronda Davis holds the suit she bought for Elijah Dillard's funeral, Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the Americas Best Value Inn in Buena Vista Township. Davis was Dillard's bus driver and he was the first person she picked up and the last she dropped off. Police say Dillard, 6, died March 1 from injuries he sustained at his home in Saginaw. The boy's parents are jailed; his father faces murder charges, and the mother faces child abuse charges.
